Training Day (PG)

Bap… Bap… Bap…

Tera eyed down the punching bag ahead of her as she repeatedly struck it with her fists. It’d been far too long since she did any real training on her own. Not since she left Omega Freelance. But for once, she just wanted a bit of time to get her head back into something, and working out in her personal gym seemed like the best option.

One… One-two… One-two…

She kept the beat going in her head as she reached out with jabs. But as she stopped to take a short break, the dragoness noticed a pair of gloves hanging over one of the weight racks. Red, with brown knuckle padding, and the index digits separate from the others. She stepped over, picking the two pieces up to look them over, then shugged and slipped them over her hands.

Unlike regular boxing gloves, these had plenty of dexterity in them. They weren’t quite as thick either, which made strapping them on much easier.

Sighing, the dragoness began jabbing at the large white sandbag again.

One-two… One-two… One-two…

Each strike seemed to draw her focus. The rhythm of her punches, and the movement of her legs, tunneling into her brain. Drowning out the world around her.

She didn’t even notice as her scales began to shift. Black fur, spreading rapidly across her body, from head to foot. Broken only by white on her chest and belly, her snout, and the tip of her tail.

One-two…

Her toes, becoming white a well, pierced by large black claws on each of the three digits of her paws. Her tail, shrinking as the fur lengthened, becoming curled and canine-like.

One-two… One-two…

Her snout, shrinking and broadening into that of a canine’s, with a black nose at the tip. Her neck, wrapped in a fluff of fur. Her ears, moving to the top of her head, pointed and flopped forward.

One-two…

Her eyes, shifting to a red color with white pupils, and a large red bandana wrapping itself just above them. Around her neck, a red collar formed, with a yin-and-yang emblem hanging from the ring.

One-two-one-two-one-two-one-two…

As the changes finished, her barrage of punches got stronger, until she let loose with a devastating uppercut that sent the bag off of its chains, crashing to the ground. Tera panted heavily, raising her hands into the air in celebration.

She took a drink of water from one of the bottles she had stored in a nearby cooler, completely oblivious to her changes. From dragon, to anthro Gaomon. Her tail wagged happily behind her.

Training was fun.
